Our founders grew up in Dorchester, Ma and were struck by the lack of modern salon offerings for the community - so they did something about it. Alex's Studio Salon and Barbershop opened its doors to fulfill an unmet desire for high quality, contemporary hair care in the Dorchester region.

Trained and apprenticed in Los Angeles, Boston, and New York City, our founders envisioned Alex's Studio Salon and Barbershop to be a marriage of urban style and the local vibe.
